Poem: Inward Odyssey

The steps taken

towards the kingdom of grace,

take you further away.

You've sensed this

so well,

so very heavy

your footsteps as you

walk away.

From the very birthplace,

the very beginning

of that first breath taken

and given

to all beings.

You've felt this,

so very true

yet so very stubbornly

you deny,

the tugging that

pulls at your heartstrings.

The yearning to return,

to turn back towards home,

towards the very place

you have always been,

the place

you have never left.

This beating

of your heart,

echoes eternal melodies.

Melodies, unclaimed,

yet reverberate your

very being.
