Random Thoughts: Nothing Is A Coincidence? Think Again

Ok here's an extremely short post. I know that there are many out there who subscribe to the idea that nothing is a coincidence. Thanks to the new age teaching that we create our own reality and that nothing happens by chance.

It isn't safe for anyone to use the word coincidence anymore around the new age practitioners. Mention the word coincidence around one, and you'll get the standard knowing look, followed by the "there are no coincidences" mantra. Heck, I've been guilty of that once or twice myself! But that was before I knew better.

I'll elaborate.

Do we create our own reality?

Yes.

Is this teaching introduced by the New Age Movement?

No. Although the New Age, New Thought movement did make the concept popular some time in the late 1800s/ early 1900s. People like Helena Blavatsky and William Walker Atkinson wrote about it long before the book The Secret was published in 2006.

So... If we do create our own reality, then perhaps it is true that nothing is a coincidence?

Yes, it is true. Only if you take the literal meaning of the word. A quick Google search gives us this following definition:

Coincidence : /kəʊˈɪnsɪd(ə)ns/ noun "A remarkable concurrence of events or circumstances without apparent causal connection."

However, if you have a keen interest in the occult, you'll probably know that there are many words with hidden meanings. Let's have a look:

As in, co-working, co-operate, co-create.

So what happens when we combine these two together? Co-incidence.

Think about it. Does this word not mean an incident that is brought about by the participation of the parties involved?

And if we create every bit of the details in our reality, including the people we meet or bump into, the events that happen every day, regardless of how major or minor they are, doesn't this mean that everything that happens, IS in fact, a coincidence?

And by saying that nothing is a coincidence, are we then disempowering ourselves by claiming that we don't partake in the creation of our reality?

Words don't merely serve as an element for communication. They contain their own frequency and vibration that can be used to direct energy. Repeating words over and over can assert the subconscious belief which will result in manifestation of said belief.

Was this word deliberately designed to disempower the unsuspecting human beings into giving up their power of manifestation?

I've seen many bizarre things in my journey that I'd have to say I am absolutely sure it was deliberate. So it is up to us to be conscious and wise in choosing our words. Not all teachings are true.

Every word is a spell. That's why it's called spelling.

Thank you for reading.
